At the Craft House in Thorndale, you can make your afternoon or evening anything you want it to be. Casual get-togethers, family parties, or just to sit at the bar with a good beverage—it serves up what you need to celebrate, kick back, or reunite with old and new friends.
Dine in History
As a child, John Hashem used to wipe tables at his family’s restaurant, and then reaped the rewards of the game room. After managing several restaurants, he and his wife Lisa opened their own in 2015 called the Craft House, which hosts two game rooms!
The Coatesville couple restored the historical building, formerly President James Buchanan’s summer home, to its new glory with multiple spaces to hang out or plan a festive party. You can dine in history, too, within 10 separate areas.
Party Central Layout
No matter what type of event you plan, the Craft House provides the perfect amount of space and atmosphere. Ten separate areas hold room for dining, drinking, partying, entertaining, and gaming. In the main bar, 16 beer taps supply guests with an array of craft beers and standard suds selections.
The Craft House can accommodate multiple parties at once, so you get your choice of a cozy sunroom, two separate dining parlors, and another bar area. Sit on the outdoor patio and relax while overlooking the emerald green courses at the Ingleside Golf Club.
Spend some quality time in the upstairs game room with shelves of vintage games, air and table hockey, a jukebox, gumball machine, pinball machine, and even a punching bag! If you want to rack up the pool cues, visit the other game room with more than one pool table.
Pub and Suds Menu
Known for their scratch kitchen, they provide pub-style food with a touch of the international. Start off with the savory French onion soup or choose from several delicious, gluten-free flatbread pizzas, including the margarita, the chicken bacon, and the BBQ chicken. Other stars on their menu begin and end with their selection of craft beers, seasonal ales, and fruity, classic cocktails.
Not only can you celebrate your party, you can join in the party nearly every day. Enjoy Sunday Brunch, Tuesday Trivia Night, Wednesday Seafood Night, and Thursday’s half-price Wings Special. Saturday nights get done right with live music while you sip a brew or nosh on a burger. Check their calendar for special holiday events like the Easter Bunny March and more.
