Kia Forte Maintenance Schedule

7,500 miles or 6 months

At this first milestone with your Kia, you’ll first want to snap a selfie while out on the town in your new Forte. It’s also important for you to bring your car in for a check-up that includes the following:

• Tire rotation
• Check fluid levels
• Inspect battery
• Inspect air cleaner air filter
• Inspect engine oil and filter
• Inspect cooling system parts

Each time your repair technician inspects your Kia, they’ll inform you about any necessary repairs or replacements.

Getting your tires rotated regularly ensures all four tires wear evenly. This makes for stable handling and a consistently smooth ride. You may also find it helpful to replace your wiper blades at this interval, since they likely will have worn down at this point.

15,000 miles or 12 months

In addition to performing the above tasks, you’ll also want your service technician to conduct the following inspections and replacements:

• Replace climate control air filter
• Replace engine oil and filter
• Inspect exhaust pipe/muffler
• Inspect brakes
• Inspect vacuum hose

Replacing the engine/oil filter helps keep these systems clear of sludge and debris so your Kia continues to run optimally. It can also help improve gas mileage—bonus!

30,000 miles or 24 months

Checking in with your Kia at this milestone should include the previous services as well as the following checks:

• Add fuel additive
• Inspect drive shafts/boots
• Inspect suspension

Replacing and inspecting these parts of your Kia will help it continue to operate at its best while you continue your journey in your favorite Forte.

45,000 miles or 36 months

When you reach your first 45,000 miles and beyond, you’ll want to have your technician inspect and replace the previously mentioned components of your Kia. Since you’ve certainly had more than a few joy rides by now, you’ll also want your service to include the following:

• Inspect steering gearbox
• Inspect brake hoses/lines
