Kia Sportage Engine Choices

With four different trims to select from, there are many ways you can go when it comes to the Kia Sportage. On the LX, S, and EX trims, you’ll have access to a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine that delivers 181 horsepower. The engine is mated to a 6-speed Sportmatic® transmission that delivers smooth shifts and precise handling.

Every driver has their own needs, though. Perhaps you’re looking for a bit more of a kick out of your Sportage. The SX Turbo trim may be the choice for you. This trim comes with a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, mated to the same 6-speed automatic transmission. It ups the ante, though, bringing 240 horsepower—a major increase over the entry-level offering.

It’s easy to put the Sportage to the test the way you want with the Drive Mode Select feature. Select from Normal, Eco, and Sport settings, and find the one that best suits your driving style.

Kia Sportage Interior Specifications

All four of the 2021 Kia Sportage trim levels are fairly similar when talking about interior specs and measurements. The big difference comes by way of the panoramic sunroof. You may want to have this roof to let light and sunshine into your Sportage interior. Or, you might choose to have more headroom and forego the roof—the choice is yours.
